About the beer
Aether Brewing is a family-owned, independent Brisbane brewery that’s been doing things the right way since 2016. Their West Coast IPA is big, bold and unashamedly hoppy — resinous pine and grapefruit zest up front, with a lean malt base that gives just enough backbone without softening the bite. It’s friendly rather than aggressive — the kind of beer that looks intimidating on paper but drinks easily from the first sip to the last.
It’s also a Brisbane beer, which makes the whole thing feel right.
Why it works
A West Coast IPA and a burger is one of the great pairings in pub food. The bitterness cuts through the fat, the citrus lifts the whole thing, and you’re left wanting another round of both. We’re not going to overthink it.
