Tippler’s Tap has been a humble favourite amongst craft enthusiasts and foodies alike since our Newstead days back in 2012. After recently closing the doors (and taps) of our beloved James Street location, you may have heard on the grapevine our plans to expand. Well, the wait is almost over! The brand new Tippler’s Tap Southbank is ready to take things up a notch and bring an even better experience to our loyal, beer-thirsty customers.
The new venue will be 3x the size of our previous, featuring:
- A spacious, undercover beer hall and dining area
- 18 PourMyBeer self-service beer and cocktail taps – no more waiting in line!
- 7 more taps located at the bar

The Beer Hall

If you’re looking for a new place to unwind after a long day at work or catch up with friends over a cold brew, look no further than the new Tippler’s Tap Beer Hall – one of Brisbane’s largest and oldest independent Craft Beer Bars. With its laid back vibe, picnic bench seating overlooking the Parklands, rotating selection of the best independent kegs and mouth-watering food menu, our Beer Hall will be the perfect spot to kick back and relax.
PourMyBeer Self-Service Taps
If you’re a craft beer enthusiast, you know the excitement of walking into a bar and spying a wide variety of brews on tap. But what if you could take that experience to the next level and pour your own? Well now you can! Tippler’s Tap will continue to stay at the forefront of industry innovation by installing a series of PourMyBeer self-service taps.
Featuring 14 rotating beers and 4 rotating cocktails, you’ll be sure to keep coming back for more – without the hassle of lining up! We’ll also have 7 traditional taps at the bar for those who prefer the old-fashioned way.
Whether a beer novice or a seasoned expert, these taps offer a fun and interactive way to try new brews and customise your pour, as you only pay for the amount you pour. Plus, it frees up more of our time to discuss and educate our patrons on the array of craft beer options. That’s an A in our books!
The Sports Bar
Calling all sports fans! Are you tired of watching the game at home on your couch? Step into the brand new Brisbane Sports Bar inside the bigger and better Tippler’s Tap Southbank. With five large screens showing multiple live sports events worldwide, comfortable seating, and a lively atmosphere, this will be the perfect spot to watch the MMA, AFL, NRL, Cricket, NBA or whatever else is on with your mates!
Featuring the widest selection of local and international craft beers on tap and tasty pub bites you can stay refreshed and focused on the game. With the ability to order food from your table, plus our self-service beer and cocktail system, you won’t miss a second of the game waiting in line – just promise us you won’t do anything that gets you sent to the Sin Bin!
